This software is released as shareware. You are requested to contribute US$5 or so to me (which will come in handy as I am currently unemployed and may return to university to complete my degree if finances get much worse) if you find this program to be useful. The approximate equivalent in Canadian funds will also be joyfully accepted!
The author provides this software on an "as is" basis, as conventionally accepted in the shareware/public domain markets at this time.
What it does:

Quite simply, this program restarts the computer *without* ejecting any disks. It was only supposed to prevent the ejection of a CD-ROM, but the "save all" feature, though a bug, is somewhat beneficial, I think, except in the unfortunate circumstance where a system-containing floppy disk might be in a drive. (If anyone observes any problems with this "feature", please tell me asap).
Before restarting the computer, Gyprock attempts to delete any files named "launch.next", "LaunchRRH", or "LaunchSS".
How to use it:

You can launch this from the desktop, call it from your BBS program, or put it as the last item in an event. I use it all three ways.
Why I wrote it:

I remember reading in one of the Mac sysop echoes several months ago that people wanted to have the Mac restart (to solve Tabby/multiFinder/sublaunch problems or whatever) without ejecting "The Right Stuffed". I remember someone humorously suggesting an elaborate system of elastic bands to "pop the disk back in".
At that time, I thought it was possible to write a program that would do the job, but, after hours of trying over several weeks, I gave up.
As it happens, I am currently working on a project (called "Acari") that will let Mac sysops process TIC files, so that we may participate in SDS (and hopefully allow us to start our own MACFILE distribution system). If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry, I'll make it much clearer in a few weeks when Acari is ready.
The question entered my mind "Why not simply restart the computer when I know that a sublaunch is going to fail? Everyone has their BBS as a startup program anyway". But then, there was that stupid CD-eject problem again.
So, I took a couple days off my Acari project and poured myself into Inside Macintosh once again. The answer turned out to be quite easy. So that's where this program comes from.

This program is named after my favorite fish, Gyprock, who committed suicide in the way that most household fish do, after 3 years of life. My fish tank is empty in his honor.
